Power Quality Training
In today's society - especially in the electrical industry - the term Power Quality appears increasingly, with emphasis on the importance of a good power quality. We want to share our knowledge, experience and case studies on this topic during our training "Understanding Power Quality; harmonics and reactive power".

Harmonic pollution and reactive power
During the training we have a closer look at harmonic pollution and the risks that this entails. A potential risk is overloading of your system, melting of cables and malfunction of sensitive equipment with possible downtime as a result. We explain terms such as: increased zero currents, crest factor, power factor and reactive power. Did you know that Power Factor is not the same as cos phi (reactive power)?
We also inform you about the possible solutions to improve the Power Quality, for example harmonic filters and capacitors.
After the lunch break, we will continue in the Power Quality Laboratory of the Technical University of Eindhoven. We make use of the available equipment to visualize the theory presented during the morning session.
This training is suitable for installers, consultants and other staff members with some knowledge of electrical engineering or electrical installations.
