Reducing energy costs with HyTEPS Light Energy Controller

In 2009, the technical service of E-MAX and the environmental- and energy coordinator initiated a project aiming at reducing energy costs. “During this process, lighting turned out to be a significant cost in our company”, according to John Wings, head of installation services at E-MAX. “During talks with the Technical Union in the Dutch city of Maastricht we found out that the installation of a HyTEPS Light Energy Controller was a simple solution to reduce these costs.”

Immediate saving of 17% on KW

In august 2009 we installed the first 125A unit on the largest part of the old hall. We noticed an immediate saving of 17% on kW, what resulted in a ROI of one year. An additional advantage is that lamps live longer, which also reduces costs. Meantime a second unit is purchased destined for a part of the new hall. Furthermore, John states to be considering a third unit.
“A few months ago we also started mapping the possibilities till reduction of energy use of motors, by means of HyTEPS motor controllers.
